Divine Liturgy 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church Wynyard, Saskatchewan Mac passed away peacefully Sept. 5th, 2018 with his family by his side. Left to mourn Mac’s Life; his long time partner of 41 years Judy Karakochuk; Judy’s mother Margaret Karakochuk; Mac’s brothers: John (Judy), Henry (Marianne), Raymond (Betty), Brian (Darlene), William; sisters: Rose, Gloria, Iris (Brian); in-laws: Leonard, Cecilia, Valerie, Melvyn (Rita), Dennis (Joy), Wayne (Carla); and numerous nieces and nephews. Mac was predeceased by his parents Steve and Mary Stadnyk; Judy’s father Adolf Karakochuk; siblings: Eva Moleski, Sonia Motkoluk, Irene Romanson, Rudy, Alex; in-laws: Steve Moleski, Paul Motkoluk, Darryl Drayson, and Andy Bzdel. Mac was born on Nov 4, 1934 to Steve and Mary Stadnyk on the farm by Bankend, Sask. He was the eldest of 14 children. Mac attended Emerald school until grade 6, then he worked for many farmers in the area. In 1956 he made his way to Yellowknife to work in a Goldmine, then progressed to a Nickel Mine in Thompson, Manitoba. Mac finished his working career of 26 years at Crawford Foods. Mac met Judy in 1975, they enjoyed gardening, fishing and many family gatherings. Family was everything to him. Mac enjoyed a game of competitive three spot, shooting the breeze with friends and a nice warm Canadian. Vichnaya Pamyat! Enternal Memory!
