Click here for service Eric Bruce Gordon was born on January 20, 1973 to Stanley Gordon and Charlotte Hogemann. He was the Watson New Years baby of 1973. He completed his Grade 12 at LeRoy. Growing up he played hockey, worked for area farmers and spent many hours with his Grandma and Grandpa Gordon. In Eric’s childhood he spent several miles on the road in the truck with his dad and his Hogemann Uncles. At 18, he was the truck driver for Grandpa Albert Hogemann, hauling livestock. When the clock hit a specific time of day, he often reminisced, how he would be on his third load going to Intercon with pigs at this time of day. When Grandpa Hogemann co-signed for his first truck, he took immense care of everything “truck” thereafter. Working for Grandpa Hogemann, he travelled countless miles and made many friends. He was well known in the trucking world. His stories were endless. Eric became a dad when Natasha was born on February 4, 1998, and his second daughter Rebecca was born on February 25, 2005. Eric acquired two more daughters, Jenna and Marlee when he married TerriLyn in 2018. After some years he tried hauling heavy oil and dry goods, but livestock hauling is what he really loved. His love was semis, whether it was looking at pictures, videos, old truck or new trucks, they were his love and his passion. Eric also loved NASCAR, but once his cousin, NASCAR driver, Jeff Gordon retired, it just “wasn’t the same”, he said. Eric started hauling for Uncle Wayne Hogemann moving pigs and cattle. Eric was a force with a prod in his hand, and never backed down from an angry cow or bull and luckily he won every battle. In the last few years, he was a lease operator with the McGraths and Sinnet Pork Farms, hauling pigs from Leroy to Neepawa, Manitoba, 4 or 5 loads a week, he was a very dedicated driver. Eric sent a text on May 19, 2016 to TerriLyn Halvorson, it read something like this… “I hauled to Poundmaker with Hogemann, remember me”? From that text, there were many many hours talking on the phone which gradually migrated to spending time with TerriLyn and her girls, Jenna and Marlee. On June 16, 2018, Eric and TerriLyn were married at the Halvorson Farm at Rose Valley, SK. Eric moved to Rose Valley and continued driving his truck during the week and home in Rose Valley on weekends. He spent numerous hours on the phone talking to his trucking buddies, catching up with his family and friends. Eric appreciated Lester, Ralph and all of Ralph’s boys’ help when it came to fixing his trucks. He also took the opportunity to teach his nephews, Lars & Levi, life lessons when the three of them would go on adventures. Eric is predeceased by: his mother, Charlotte Hogeman; Grandma and Grandpa Gordon and Grandma Hogemann. Eric is survived by: his wife, TerriLyn, and her girls, Jenna & Marlee; his daughters, Natasha of Saskatoon and Rebecca of Humboldt; his father, Stanley of Leroy; his brother, Ervin of Leroy; his sister, Karen and family of Humboldt; his grandpa, Albert Hogemann of Humbolt and many Hogemann Uncles, Aunts and many Gordon Aunts and Uncles, as well as extended family. The truck'n world is not gonna be the same without you on the highways. Donations made in memory of Eric can be made to Heart And Stroke Foundation Of Canada 26-1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon SK S7K 1V9 Or a local charity of ones choice
