In Loving Memory of Shayna Leader Shayna Rose Leader was born February 10th, 1994 in Regina General Hospital. She was raised on a farm near Leslie by her parents Kim and Tom Leader. After a long struggle Shayna passed away peacefully on October 13th, 2021, in a home in Regina. Those who knew Shayna describe her as charismatic and full of life. She loved attending school, helping people, and dancing around to her favourite songs. She was naturally good at everything she tried including band (where she played the flute), cadets, sports, running farm equipment, working with the elderly, and especially school where she was almost always top of her class - a testament to her competitiveness. Right until the end Shayna was always optimistic, no matter how bad things got for her. She was full of love especially for her children and siblings - whom she endlessly praised. One of Shayna’s greatest triumphs was accepting the responsibility of becoming a mother to her son Roylnd at age 16. After high school Shayna worked at Deerpark Villa in Ituna - a home for people with special needs. While living in Ituna Shayna met Shane Slywka, the father of her next three children: Kruz, Carter, and Kristina. She returned to Foam Lake with those three children. There she got a job at Foam Lake Jubilee - a place she had attended as a child visiting her grandmother as well as volunteered at in highschool. She went on to obtain her CCA while working there. This was her true calling. She was so good with the elderly people and brightened everyone’s day. From there Shayna unfortunately faced many struggles with mental health and addictions. Though she fought hard, she never recovered and in the end those struggles got the best of her. Shayna is predeceased by her birth father, Ricky Voeltz, her grandfather George Leader, and Grandmothers Florence Leader and Darlene Feszczyn. She leaves behind to mourn her parents Kim and Tom Leader, siblings Justin (Kat) Feszczyn, Karla (Mathew) Faye, Martina Leader, and Miranda (Lexi) Leader, children Roylnd, Kruz, Carter and Kristina, Grandpa Fred Feszczyn, nieces Amelia and Holly, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
