Sherry was born February 19, 1959 at the Dr Gendreau Hospital in Ste Rose Manitoba. She was the eldest daughter to Everett and Bernice Maliteare (Hubic). They were living at Benito Manitoba but Sherry started school at Clemenceau School, San Clara, Manitoba where her Mom was teaching. She also attended Benito Elementary School. When the family moved to Roblin Manitoba in 1970 she continued her elementary and then high school at Goose Lake High. Sherry’s father passed away in 1982 and the family moved to Roblin Manitoba where Sherry was employed as Manager at Roblin Concrete which was owned by her family. On January 25, 1985 Tyson was born in Roblin District Hospital. Sherry did various jobs that took her family to Snow Lake, Manitoba, Saskatoon, Sask, and Cumberland House, Sask. Pete and Sherry eventually went their separate ways. In 2003 Sherry and her two boys moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba where she accepted a position as a property manager with Manitoba Housing. She worked that position for many years. She became a Grandmother and helped raise her granddaughters Dakota and Hayley. She also started writing songs. She wrote “This Must Be Love” teaming up with John Leclair and Amber Fleury who sang the song which made #43 on radio country charts. Sherry was an avid knitter and knitted many baby caps with her mother’s group in Roblin who donated them to the maternity ward in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. One time while having lunch with her mother in November she noticed a baby with no cap on its head and asked the mother if she would like one as she had some to donate. “That baby had a cap on its head in no time”.
