Obituary
In Loving Memory of Larissa Katelynn Babichuk Larissa Katelynn Babichuk was born January 7, 2006 in Yorkton, SK and suddenly passed away October 23, 2021 at the tender age of 15 in a tragic car accident. She will be missed by her proud parents, Curtis and Jackie Babichuk (Dlugan), and her little sister Nicole. Larissa was an amazing big, but shorter sister, and best friend to Nicole. They loved going for long walks, biking, and checking cows together. They spent hours together giggling and talking in each others bedroom. Larissa started off her education by attending preschool at the Little Champions Nursery School in Foam Lake, then went on to attend Foam Lake Elementary School and was currently enrolled in grade 10 at the Foam Lake Composite High School. While in school she was on the SLC, participated in many different sports like volleyball, basketball, track and field, and flag football. While participating in sports, whether it was in a game or practice she put her whole heart and soul into it. She was an Honour Roll student throughout all of her schooling. Larissa was also involved in dance and swimming. Larissa was known by her friends as Larsha, Barissa Labichuk, Larry, and to us as Girly which eventually changed to Big Girl. Larissa (Larry) would walk up to anyone with a warm gentle smile and break into immediate conversation and laughter. By the end of the conversation she had a new snap contact and best friend. She loved helping out on the farm doing things like feeding the cows, looking after the chickens, helping her dad haul bales, repair vehicles and machinery. Larissa had many jobs. She started babysitting at age 11. Her and Nicole started their new enterprise of raising chickens and selling eggs. This past summer she started working at the Wandering Moose in Invermay, which she simply loved and had so much fun working at. Larissa leaves to mourn her passing and celebrate her life, parents, Curtis and Jackie Babichuk and little sister Nicole.
