Myrna, Richard, Susan, and Ryan: Deepest condolences on the passing of your husband and father. I was so lucky to have met Germain when he came to teach in Bjorkdale. Such a pleasant and knowledgeable person. The start of a very nice friendship. He was always the one to make more of an effort to keep in touch, and the calls were always great to receive. Myrna & family, We attended the Celebration of Life for Germain with you today on-line. While it was our intention to be present with you, we could not make that happen. Watching the service reminded me of all the special times we shared during my time in Naicam. Germain was my mentor and good friend. I recognize as I reflect on that time 'in the water' that I have Germain to thank for his faith and encouragement; which in turn afforded me the gift of a great life - filled with friends and family. Germain leaves a legacy that is truly inspirational. May all your fondest memories of good times together, help to sustain you in the days ahead. You are in our prayers. Lanny & Beth Baerwald

Never before have we given the honour of knowing such a charismatic person. Germaine was an example of optimism, understanding, keen sense of humour and compassion. Myrna, Richard, Susan and Ryan: Please accept my sincere condolences of the loss of your husband and father. My relationship goes back with Germain so far, I can't remember. I had so much respect for the man. He was a great teacher, coach, mentor and friend over the years. Someone I respected immensely. And a man that carried himself with class and humility. I am so sorry I will not be at the funeral to honor Germain. But know that I am thinking of you all and also remembering Germain fondly. Peter Anholt
