Heartfelt condolences & sympathy to all the family as you endure your journey of grief with the loss of your Mom. Such a beautiful picture you have posted on the website of Aunt Irene. My fond memory is, of course, her 7 or more layer chocolate chiffon cake with the mocha icing. That definitely was her signature cake & how she ever managed to wrap coins in wax paper in the cake is still a mystery. Karen, you will remember that more as you kids were so fortunate to have it at your birthdays. Another memory is driving down the lane way & turning the curve to come upon the brilliance of all the beautiful colored perennials in her garden. Tricia summed up Aunt Irene’s attributes beautifully on her fb tribute. Lisa, I loved what you said on the phone call we shared that it was now Myles’s turn to have your Mom, that was so touching. I will watch the celebration of Aunt Irene’s life virtually. Hugs to everyone. RIP Aunt Irene .
