I have so many fond memories of visiting all of you on the farm or hanging out at the shop. I had so many first in life there - eating ice cream from a bucket, going to the drive-in and rolling cigarettes :) Your mom was one of the good ones and I’ll greatly miss her. My thoughts go out to each of you as you mourn her passing, but celebrate her life.

I remember Laverne, Myron and the boys coming to Fosston every year before Christmas to go with Linda, Ronnie and I out to find the perfect tree. She was a fantastic cook - her perogies and cabbage rolls was all I ever needed at any family function she cooked for. I enjoyed visiting with her and listening to her end most sentences with “and that there.” She loved her family and took very good care of them. I know she is no longer sick and that brings some solace for her leaving us. I will miss you and love you until we meet again - and that there.

So sorry to hear of the loss of LaVerne. She (and Myron) were so kind to us when we moved to Margo. They opened up the shop on a Sunday to fix a flat tire on our moving van when we first moved there-we were total strangers to them. We soon came to be friends & even after we moved away & came back to visit, I always enjoyed stopping at the shop for a quick( which was never quick) visit with her. Such a kind & genuine soul! Sending our sympathy from the Krochak family.

Our deepest sympathy to Greg, James, Jason and the rest of the family. Laverne was a very special lady. She always took the time to talk - no matter where she met us. Her concern for others was one of her many traits. When George had his car accident in 1996, Laverne and Myron drove to Saskatoon to see how he was. When our home burned down last fall she was one of the first people to bring supplies and offer her support. We will truly miss her.
