My sympathies to you and your family, Janet. The news of Jim’s passing hit my heart hard. I considered him a friend. Working with him at SJICC was the best of times. We had many discussions over all kinds of topics from aliens to organized religion to ancient religions.
No matter how far out or bizarre, Jim would discuss it. He was so smart and so funny.
Although I saw him seldom after he left the facility, I knew he was out there somewhere just being Jim.
Well, now he knows what comes next. And if he’s somewhere with the angels I’m sure he’s been asking about those 12 missing days as well as 101 other questions he always wondered about.
I will miss him very much.

To Janet and family,
On behalf of my family and me, we are very sorry to hear about your loss. I only met Jim a few years ago, but I consider myself fortunate to have met him. Our talks were always wide ranging; however, I particularly enjoyed when Jim dived into the mechanics or engineering behind a product. He was a very smart man. Sending heartfelt sympathy to Janet and family at this sad time.
Jim was a one-of-a-kind person.
He always made coffee and lunch breaks at St. Joe's enlightening, and, so much fun. He delighted in having, sharing, debating any conversation, on any topic. He was, who you could go to, for a think outside the box perspective, no matter what, and, it was always great to hear. Jim said what he thought, and, thought what he said, which was so appreciated. Anyone that knew Jim well, will surely miss that, but, they will not have a conversation without thinking, "I wonder what Jim would have had to say about that?", and, it will bring a smile. Jim left that gift for all that knew him, and, all that knew him, will have that remembrance of him always. "Thanks Jim" - will think of you often, and, smile...
