Katherine is survived by her son, Blaine (Ann) Gardiner and their family; her daughter, Louise Barr; her son, Lionel (Lois) Gardiner and their family; her daughter, Adelle Groff and her family; her son, Glen (Frances) and their family; her son Norman (Iris) Sutherland and their family; her son, Gordon (Ruth) Sutherland and their family; her sisters, Frances Stushnoff, Justina Popoff, and Margaret Strandquist, one brother Ed Balaski and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and as well as numerous extended family. Katie was predeceased by: her parents, Michael and Polly Balaski, her first husband, Maurice Gardner, second husband, Charles Sutherland, and her sons-in-law Ron Groff, and Ed Barr. As per Katie's wishes, a private family burial was conducted. A special thank you to the Wadena Hospital for the care Katie received.
