Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elmer Bohnen on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Quill Plains Lodge, Watson, Saskatchewan. Elmer was born on Jan 18, 1936 to Hubert and Josephine Bohnen. After completing school, Elmer worked as a lineman in the North West Territories. He had many stories to share of his time there and the north had a special place in his heart. As a young man, he returned to Daphne, Sk, to take over farming the family farm. He was also a school bus driver for 39 years. Elmer enjoyed the outdoors and was often out fishing, camping or ski-dooing. He enjoyed coffee-row with his friends as well as socializing and playing cards. Elmer was predeceased by: his parents Hubert (1983) and Josephine (1978); siblings, Myrtle (2004), Hubert (Herb) Jr (1978), and Ronald (1998); as well as sisters-in-law Ida and Louise (2008). Elmer is survived by his nephews and nieces: Rod (Mary Lou) Bohnen, Dave (Sherry) Bohnen, Colleen (Bert Lindquist) Bohnen, Brent (Ruby) Bohnen, Tim (Heidi Estabrooks), and Heather (Reg) Hunter. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and friends.
