Big hugs from our house to yours Shawn. You two packed a lot into a short time, and you handled it all with class(and funny comments on the side). I will forever remember Erin eating a carrot fat end first in my store across the hall from yours, her many “Auntie Pam” stories and the passion with which she would tell them, and the fact that her glass was always at least half full. We are all better people for having known her.

My deepest sympathies to Erin's family. I met Erin through Facebook in our love of dogs. Erin was the kindest and most compassionate person. When we lost our Collie, Indy, I received the most beautiful letter, from him, sent from the Rainbow Bridge. Erin was the writer and compassionate person behind this gift of love. I already knew Erin to be a kind-hearted dog mom and friend, and this gift, just touched me beyond words. I don't know if Erin ever knew the true impact of her Rainbow Bridge letters, but she touched the hearts and souls of so many friends. My heart goes out to Shawn and Karma and their family. Erin was taken from this world too soon. And if there is any solace to be found, I hope it can be found in the fact that she's with Holly, Spook and Banjo. God bless you friend. Peace and comfort be with you Shawn and Karma.

I met Erin on Facebook through the mutual love for giant dogs. Erin was one of the most positive person I have ever known. With all the up and down in her life both health and financial, Erin always met them with a smile. We spent so many night chatting on Facebook and I felt like she knew me better than some of my real life friend. The world lost one of the most lovable person. My deepest condolences to Shawn, Karma and the family. Holly (as I fondly called her Hollywood because of her dramatics) please take care of your momma until we can all meet. See you again one day my friend.

Our deepest sympathies to Erin’s family. When Kevin was diagnosed as Type 1 diabetic Bonnie and Steve were so kind and visited our home to help us deal with a diabetic child. It was so appreciated. We realize that as they grow up and go about their own lives we are still the concerned parent. I didn’t know Erin personally but did enjoy her when we met at Mainstreet Stylists. She will be missed. God bless.

While I never met Erin in person, we do share sisters (Karma is Deena's littermate). And so we share a love of dogs. But more than that, I realized the light, the humor, the love Erin had for just about everyone & everything as she helped Holly, then Karma, write on Facebook. I never once knew how ill she was until I read the end of Holly's book. She was determined to live life to the fullest until the end. And she did. To Karma and Shawn & family - My heartfelt sympathies on your loss of such a person. Look up at night, though. She will be the brightest star up there.

Erin and I first became friends while working at MDSI 2005-2007. We shared a very similar humor, passion for dogs and could visit for hours and never run out of things to talk about. We both enjoyed playing practical jokes on our boss,(Erin's mother Bonnie.) On several occassions, we had been mistaken as sisters, as we both had red hair and we always played along with it. I can still hear your laughter... Deeply missed and always in our thoughts. Oxoxo

When we were kids, we would never have thought this is how the story would end. We went from crayons and recess to adulthood in a blink of an eye. You went your way and I went mine. Even though we didn’t talk often we stay connected. This fall the world brought us back together. We laughed. We cried. We knew our time together was coming to an end. And just as you said, that day came. You told me that I could find you at Rainbow Bridge and you would take care of everyone over there. You promised it wasn’t a goodbye but a see you later dear friend and that you would always be there watching out. So my dear friend, this is not goodbye. It’s I’ll see you later and meet you at Rainbow Bridge.

I met Erin through close friends on Facebook. She was a standout among some truly awesome people. Her sense of humor and loving-compassion, mixed with sarcasm, enabled her to interpret and write of her furkids thoughts and actions in such a way that the reader “knew” the dog! The truth is, those who knew Holly and Karma got a glimpse of the genius that was Erin. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.❤️❤️❤️

I never met Erin in person. We connected through dogs and a mutual friend. She told me the story of how our puppy was originally meant to be hers, until her health got in the way. So, I shared his pictures and stories as he’s grown up, and he became our special connection. I was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. Gentle soul, rest free. You will be missed.

We served on the Health Club together and sometimes she joined us in that room for lunch. Many years after school we reconnected when my Mom started dialysis and my Dad was in Pleasant View with her Grandmother. We shared many a laugh and chat on so many things. Erin I so miss you. We met on Facebook through the love of Saint Bernard's. You helped our rescue one year with proceeds from your annual Saints calendar that you worked so hard on to help the rescues. Our rescue Saints will never be able to thank you enough for your kindness to them. There were days I didn't want to smile but I couldn't resist a smile and a laugh when I read one of Holly's or Karma's adventures. Shawn, thank you for carrying on Erin's work and helping her friends and hopefully you heal from the loss of Erin. She was a truly wonderful lady.

Like many others, I met Erin through FaceBook. Even though we never met "in person", I treasured her friendship, her wit, her sense of humor and her never ending dedication to helping others. I know that she is without pain; for that I am grateful. I also know that her family will miss her daily presence. I'm sending my love and hope that time will help to soften the sorrow. Erin has left a bit of herself with all of us.

Erin was our best and longest Facebook friend. We shared her stories from life on the farm to moving to Wadena and so much more. Her intelligence and wit made her such a fun person to talk to! Her advice on dog and life related issues will be missed by many. I so regret not ever being able to meet her in person. My deepest condolences go out to Shawn and family. You have lost a tremendous person. One day, we will all race around in the golf cart on the big farm at the Rainbow Bridge.

I too met Erin first through Facebook. We shared a huge love for dogs, especially Saint Bernards. When I first came to Winnipeg to visit,Erin drove all the way there to meet me and love on Sara Grant's puppies, River and Sonny Boy. As the years went by, I enjoyed many long chats with Erin. She was an amazing old soul, full of love and generosity and laughter and quick wit. She will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to her family. An angel has left this earth.

Erin is, and always will be my true friend. I met her on facebook years ago. Although I never met her in person, I had an instant connection. Some way, some how, she was able to reach her hand out across the miles, and touch my heart. There she will stay forever. Erin, much younger than me, taught me the joy of a kind word, a happy heart, and pure bravery. I am so blessed to call her my friend. "Such a sweet soul will never be forgotten!" I love you, Erin! i met Erin on FB through a mutal friend when i was told to ask her about kidney issues. she became my go to medical venting person..oh the talks we had were sometimes brutal. i am going to miss the middle of the night chats when neither of us could sleep. she deemed Karma & CJ to be saint retards when they were puppies and into everything. the term stuck through other puppies i have gotten since then. she will akways be that one in a lifetime friend who no matter what she was going through she made everyone else feel special & loved! pure unconditional love & respect for all her friends. i truly admire her strenght & positive outlook no matter what. i am going to miss you every day Erin. love you always! proud to call you my friend

Dear Karma, Shawn and all of Erin’s family and friends, I am 5937 kilometers away in Kerry, Ireland writing this. It is 9pm and every day since I met Erin and Holly I log in to Facebook first thing at this time to check the posts from Wadena. Needless to say I met Erin through dogs, what other was would we know Erin. It was about 7 years ago and I stumbled on a dog post. But it was a while before she accepted my friend request. She was cautious about accepting random requests but I was determined. In becoming a Facebook friend with Erin I won a lottery. She was a truly genuine, kind, down to earth “ pull no punches” kind of person. Back then she had Holly, Banjo, Spook and Annie Horse .......and Shawn . I had Molly and Sam. Straight away I knew with her names and gorgeous hair colour there was Irish blood and we talked about all those things. I know she loved the fact that she was Irish ☘️. Erin was always there to give really good advice about dog problems- better than any vet sometimes. She was there for support each time Molly was sick and especially when Molly ages 2 died from heart failure. She even helped Molly write me a letter. Again Sam died. No one but Erin really understood I felt. Erin was amazing, selfless, generous with her time and herself and always there for people. She never used her poor health as a crutch, it was actually ages before I even knew. Erin be painfree and happy with all your pets at the Bridge. I know you will look down on Shawn and Karma and guide Karma. We are all sad now but we all have amazing positive and happy memories. Wadena must be a sadder place without our beautiful Erin. Until we meet properly some day Mary, Eevie and Kaiser. Xxxxxx Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone

I must say firstly, I love the picture you used for Erin. That was a fond memory at a dog show in Brandon. She loved the dog shows. Erin and I became friends through our love of dogs. She contacted me regarding being a mentor for showing and possible breeding of her Holly . She drove in to Winnipeg with Holly and we met and chatted and instantly connected. Through the years we have laughed and cried, shared stories of our lives ups and downs. we meet people for many reasons but I know I met Erin to learn about struggles, patience, and how to celebrate victories however small. I shall miss her phone calls, our weekend dog show getaways , and her warm smile. Rest In Peace dear friend until we meet again. She made me laugh so many times with her humorous stories of her fur babies. She had such an artistic flair in her writing..I admired her for that... And when she felt pain or sadness we felt that also along with her.. She was a special friend to everyone with the heart of gold.. RIP Erin Doherty I wish it did not have to end...but now you can run free from pain and join your babies..sadness and tears have flowed throughout the world now because you are greatly missed by family, friends, and animals. Although I only knew Erin via Facebook, I could feel her loving, sweet personality shine across the miles. She was so very kind and giving. We met via our mutual love of animals, especially our dogs. I used to get a kick out of the name of her dog, Banjo--I thought it was such a terrific & unique name (besides the name of my favorite instrument). Erin was such an unassuming lady that I never knew she was having health challenges, until about a year ago. Erin, we all miss you terribly, but we are at the same time very grateful that you are no longer suffering, and that you can once again be with your dear fur-kids who passed before you. RIP, dear friend. We will all see you again, one fine day. With much love & blessings from the Sneddon Pack & Their People

I’m so sorry for your families loss. I will miss Erin very much. I always looked forward to her coming in with stories about her crazy puppies, the love and patience she had for them was one of a kind ❤️ She was a very particular client she liked her red hair, bright, but not *glowing* (her words) when she walks out in the sun. We hit the perfect formula and never veered to far from it.She always parted her hair for me because she did it better and would check, double check, and triple check that the sides of her bob matched. I always stood back and let her do her thing, the suspense always killed me if I had given her the perfect hair cut or not! I am so glad I was able to meet Erin after moving here, I will miss really miss seeing her. My bobs got much better after she started coming to me and I am very thankful for that!
