Obituary
Erin was born to Bonnie and Steve George in Edmonton, Alberta on December 12, 1974. She remembered from a very early age being read to, and that gave her a great love for books her entire life. In December of 1976, her baby sister Meaghan arrived and completed the family. She was predeceased by both her George and Wallin Grandparents, as well as her uncle Duncan. In 1982, Erin found the first love of her life, her horse Star. Her teenage years were spent in true small town fashion there was beer and backroads. Every June she spent with her dad on the back of a horse on a trail ride. Her childhood was filled with many four legged pets. In 2004, Erin met and married Shawn Doherty. Shawn was a good and even match for Erin, they always seemed to balance each other. In 2008, a new love was found, a big giant brown shedding breed the St. Bernard. In 2014, Karma came into the picture and Erin found a new passion the dog show ring. After 12 years in kidney failure Erin realized she was in a battle she couldn’t win. She tried her entire life to be as kind as possible to each person she met. Not one time in her fight did Shawn ever leave her side. They made a lifetime of good memories in a very short amount of time. Erin leaves her husband Shawn; her girl, Karma; mother, Bonnie Wallin; Father, Steve George (partner Sandra); Aunt Pam Wallin; sister, Meaghan (Robby); nephew, Austin; niece and goddaughter Courtney; niece, Haley Bilokraly. She also leaves so many friends to carry on telling stories of her life. A special thank you to Sarah Andry, Sara Grant, Karmen Morgan, Jody Baker, Ryan Townend, Karen Kerluke you guys always brought a smile and a much needed cup of coffee, and please know that Erin appreciated everything you did. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
