I worked for Lloyd at the Shell in Wadena. He was more than a boss, but also a true friend. He helped me become a better person and business man. I now have employees of my own and I learned a lot from him on how to treat people. He is still to date the best employer I ever had. I remember when I worked for him and I bought my first motorcycle, he was worried that I didn't have a leather jacket, so that Christmas he had my brother pick one up from the city and surprised me with it for a gift. He was always thinking and concerned about others. A true gentleman.

I was fortunate enough to be born into the family of Ed and Pearl Ottmann. What a class group of people and Uncle Lloyd was one of them. He was a great business man, father, uncle and Grandfather. I still have the cuff links he gave me for Graduation, from the jewellery store he owned in Wadena. A class act we will all miss.
