I was surprised and saddened to hear of the passing of Henry Mamer. He was known far and wide in our First Nations communities. My parents knew him well and he was respected and well liked by all. For myself he had a significant influence on my life as I progressed through my academics until I attained my degree. Henry never failed to come through for me even when I was several provinces away in University. Occasionally when I heard his name in passing, I thought that it would be nice to speak to Henry to see how he was doing and I know he'd be interested in hearing about what I was up to. Marlene, Brenda, Darren and Donette, we share your loss. Obviously, not as profoundly as you but anyone who knew him feels a loss. Henry was a great man. From the Kapay family, we extend our deepest sympathies to the Mamer family and may God guide you through this trying time.
