Funeral Mass: Saturday, August 29, 2015 10:30 a.m. Wadena Ukrainian Catholic Church, Wadena, Saskatchewan. Interment to follow in the Wadena Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Wadena, Saskatchewan. Steven Zazula was born to Peter and Anne (Hankewich) Zazula on August 12, 1929. Steven received his elementary education at Zazula School and Harrow Public School. He received his high school by correspondence. Steven took up farming as a life long occupation in the Hendon district. He had a great love of farming. As a practicing Catholic, Steven became a member of the Descent of the Holy Spirit Parish in Wadena. He served as president of the Parish council from 1970-1978, and as treasurer from 1982-2012. Steven was an R.M of Lakeview Councilor (Division 5) from 1966-1977. Steven was predeceased by his father, Peter in 1962, and his mother Anne, in 2003. Also by his siblings, Fred in 1989 Katherine (Kramer) in 1993, Pearl in 2004, Mary (Nicholat) in 2011, and Anastasia (Kirk) in 2013. Brothers - in- law Oris Kirk in 1978, Fred Nicholat in 1986, and Fred Kramer in 1994. Steven will be sadly missed and always remembered by his sister Eunice, and brother Paul. By nieces Rosemary (Lorne), Celeste, Marian (Vic), Marguerite and Maureen (Michael). Also, nephews Eugene (Valerie), Gerald, David, and Paul. Steven's family prays that through God's great mercy he will be granted eternal life and peace. Eternal Memory.
