So sad to hear of your loss. We met him over 20 years ago and became friends immediately. He and his family became like our family. Sylvia and I always enjoyed his company, humour, and caring character. He'll be missed Our thoughts are with you mary, Terry and family.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Al’s passing. I had the pleasure of getting to know Al and Mary while working reception at a clinic he frequented. Although I’m sure he never knew it, Al left quite the impression on me. He reminded me of my grandfather, and treated me as if he was. It brought me great joy to get to know him more every time he came by. He was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and I will always cherish the short time I knew him. Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. I feel very lucky that I was able to witness such a partnership between the two of you. I know that Al will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. My sincerest condolences to you and the rest of the family during this time.

To all the Smith Families
Our most sincere sympathy to you all.
I have very fond memories of many visits to Uncle Bill & Aunt Pearl's farm when I was young. As time past and I would meet up with Alvin at family events his smile was still the same and it was just so easy to catch up with what was happening with him and his family. Treasure your memories!
Hugs to Everyone,
Kathy (Mills) & Allan Fidyk & Family

I never got to know Al as well as I would have liked but I remember helping do some yard work (and maybe a beer lol) and he always had this friendly smirk on his face that you couldn't erase if you tried. Rest well Al and thank you for taking care of my sister for all those years :))

Dear Tanya, Terry, Mary and families,
I wish I could be there to say good bye to Big Al, the wonderful person who supported me and treated me so kindly while attending university with Tanya in London. His giving personality, warm smile and kind heart will be remembered forever. He opened his home and heart to anyone who needed it; and welcomed me warmly to his family. His kindness will be remembered forever. May he rest peacefully and May you all find support in one another during these challenging days.
