Marian Isabelle Polec was born on April 26, 1944 at Lestock, Saskatchewan to chosen parents Dr. Edward & Mabel Polec, and brother Monty. Educated at Wynyard School, she was a determined individual despite being diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at a young age. She really enjoyed family time spent at the Polec cabin at Lac LaRonge; she loved to travel anywhere, trips to Hawaii being her favorite. Marian resided in Saskatoon for majority of her adult life. She was a proud member of Amnesty International. She had a special relationship with her cat Puff until his passing at the age of 20. She enjoyed looking after children, helping her friends out when someone was needed to watch their children. Marian passed away on September 22, 2016 at City Hospital in Saskatoon. Marian was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Mabel; brother Monty. Marian leaves to mourn; sister-in-law, Joyce (Rick) Furukwa; nephews, Clinton (Virginia) Polec their children Scott & Abby; Curtis (Joanne) Polec and their children Kai & Emi; numerous cousins; and her Saskatoon families that cared for her over the years.
