I learned today that Elsie had died and it made me very sad. Elsie was a “fixture” in my life for many years. She and Gordon were friends of my parents the whole time I was growing up, and she was involved in so many Kandahar-area activities - Aarnes church, bake sales, bridal showers and more. As Elsie got older and I’d see her in Wynyard on my trips “home” she amazed me with her boundless energy - I often said that Elsie was the kind of “older woman” I wanted to be. She dressed well, she had a great green thumb when it came to her yard and gardens, and she was always so interested in everything. My sympathies to Linda and Les, and families.
